Dance Show

Congratulations everyone on a great performance last Thursday night!  Your hard work during class paid off!

January 19 Dance Show

On January 19th our students will be performing their routines in the Bell Theatre.  Students must be at the school by 6 pm in order to get ready.  Doors to the theatre will open at 6:30 pm and the show will start at 7 pm.  Admission is free.  We invite family and friends to attend to see what our dance students have been working on.

Breakout 2012

Attention all dance teams!  Breakout is this weekend, Saturday January 14.  All team members must report to the check in at 10 am with photo identification.  Please remember to bring food and water with you and ensure that you have transportation both to and from the competition.  Good luck!

Upcoming Events

As we come to our winter break the Dance Department has several events coming up.  On Monday December 12, all dance students will be attending Mixed Nuts which is being put on by Arts Umbrella in the Bell Centre at 10 am.  All teachers have been notified however, students are to check in with their teachers and must catch up on any missed work.  Students are to come to the studio as soon as they are dismissed from their first class of the day.

On Wednesday December 14 there will be a pep rally during period 3 which will start at 12:30. Several of the dance teams are participating in this event.

Finally, on Thursday December 15, our dance students will be performing their routines in the Bell Centre for our feeder schools.  Again, all teachers have been notified however, students are to check in with their teachers and must catch up on any missed work.

Students are working very hard on their routines in order to get them performance ready.  Their hard work and dedication will pay off come performance time.  Please check the classes page for information regarding costumes, hair and make-up.

Thriller Flash Mob

Last week our Dance 10-12 surprised both students and staff at lunch with our very own "Thrill the World".  Students learned the "Thriller" routine and designed costumes as a class project for the event.  The performance was a success due to hard work, dedication and creativity.  Congratulations to everyone who participated!  Stay tuned for a video which will be posted soon.
